Anniston Army Depot, AL (ANAD) supports a multi-mission industrial base for heavy combat vehicle expertise. The Depot Support Service provides Vehicle, Fuel and Supply Support Services. In the latter category, these services consist of all necessary processes to facilitate the full range of material handling, receipt, storage and issue functions for multiple classes of supply, including hazardous materials such as acids, fuels, lubricants, solvents and compressed gasses. Responsibilities also include asset management and battery exchange. As a subcontractor to LESCO, ALOG provides all labor, tools, personnel protective clothing and equipment (PPC&E) for our personnel to perform their required services ALOG assists in Anniston Army Depot supply support operations include management of central distribution and materiel handling of depot-managed repair parts supply, and management of, and materiel movement within, 32 holding areas and five warehouses via licensed material handling equipment (MHE) drivers. The actions associated with this workload include receipt and inspection, storage, warehousing, retrieval, issuance, inventory control and housekeeping. At Anniston, specific duties related to materiel movement include processing the release documents for the material, releasing the parts, transitioning the parts in a digitized database and submitting reconciled spreadsheets to appropriate Depot divisions upon inventory completion. Appropriate actions are taken to inventory stocks and resolve out-of-balance stock discrepancies. Because of our excellent performance, in addition to the work described above, ALOG has been given responsibility for the Fuel Distribution and Vehicle Cleaning functions. Anniston fuel services include petroleum, compressed gas and propane support services. Specific duties include requesting, receiving, inspecting, issuing, delivery, inventory and management of petroleum products; managing and maintaining a Propane Refueling Station; managing and maintaining a Compressed Gas Exchange Station and supporting daily delivery to 19 other Depot locations. The work performed in support of this requirement includes providing service within an established radius of the installation and movement of hazardous materials. Anniston cleaning operations include all phases of the cleaning operation to include all steam cleaners, hurricane washers, chemical cleaners, industrial washers, abrasive blast cabinets and buffing stations.
