ALOG Corporation provides prime contract support to the United States Army Reserve Command (USARC), Deputy Chief of Staff, G-4 (DCS, G-4).  Support is for the ARLOG XXI  Initiative which is to improve materiel readiness by placing portions of a RESERVE  unit’s equipment into long-term strategic storage.  The strategic storage site in Atchison, KS is a man-made cave which has approximately 1.2 million square feet of controlled humidity storage in support of the ARLOG XXI Program. 

ALOG Corporation support of the Atchison, KS strategic storage facility includes:

• Maintaining equipment IAW Technical Manual (TM) -10/-20 standards
• Supply and storage management by documenting receipts, issue, store, inventory and accounting for Class II and Class VII supplies placed in the facility.
• Accepting supplies and equipment into SDS—Atchison after technical inspection and inventory.
• Performing warehouse functions to include movement, transfer, storage of equipment and material
• Performing contingency plans to operate on a 24 hour emergency basis
• Storage management packaging and preservation of equipment and preservation to Level C Protector.
• Inspecting and performing inventory of stored equipment, and maintain the care of supplies in storage (COSIS) program.
• Reporting equipment not repairable that exceeds maintenance expenditure limits to the technical manager or the COR for the USARC.
• Performing fuel sampling as specified
• Following the Battery Maintenance Program
• Ensuring that missing items are identified and replacements requested
• Maintaining an asset balance file of all equipment
• Staging all appropriate components, e.g., BII with equipment being issued
• Submitting maintenance management reports and materiel readiness reports
• Updating and reconciling hand receipts with owning units every 6 months
• Maintaining a record of all costs associated with operation of the site
• Staging and/or loading equipment onto transporters or move equipment to staging areas.
